AC ELWA 2 now compatible with HomeWizard
We are pleased to announce another compatibility partner: the HomeWizard P1 Meter is now fully compatible with the AC ELWA 2, our linearly controlled water heating device.
HomeWizard has gained significant popularity in the Netherlands and Belgium in recent years, primarily due to its simple plug-and-play installation, real-time monitoring, and compatibility with all modern smart meters. We are therefore delighted that my-PV customers can now also benefit from the compatibility of the AC ELWA 2 with the HomeWizard P1 Meter.
The HomeWizard P1 Meter is a user-friendly solution for monitoring household energy consumption. It connects directly to the P1 port of the smart meter and provides real-time data on electricity usage and the output of your own photovoltaic system. In combination with an inverter or the kWh meter of the PV installation, the P1 Meter not only shows the generated solar surplus but also the production, the total consumption, and how much solar power is used directly in the household. It also provides detailed insights into gas consumption, electricity consumption, and surplus solar energy.
The device is compatible with most modern European smart meters, including those commonly used in Austria and the Benelux region. The plug-and-play installation – simply plug it in, connect to Wi-Fi, and start monitoring immediately – makes the HomeWizard P1 Meter particularly attractive for homeowners.
Thanks to this new compatibility, system owners can now easily increase their PV self-consumption with the AC ELWA 2 without the need for an additional surplus measurement device – a clear cost advantage! For example, in a household where a HomeWizard P1 Meter is already installed, the AC ELWA 2 can be easily and cost-effectively retrofitted. Thanks to this compatibility, there is no need to purchase an additional surplus detection device. This reduces the initial investment to the cost of the AC ELWA 2 itself – €693 (excl. VAT) – and allows the system to pay for itself in less than three years. From that point onwards, homeowners benefit from significantly reduced operating costs for hot water while at the same time maximizing their PV self-consumption.
